August '22 Update
We hope you had a lovely, and more relaxing, August than we’ve had at Find Me Sales. We started the month by joining our 5th accelerator - Digital Catapult Machine Intelligence Garage. We also managed to get the real-time connection to the Companies House database working and pushed into the live version, so Leadsearch is now a direct mirror of every company in the UK. We rounded out the month with some big improvements to the lead pages. Stay with us as we explore each topic in a bit more detail, and look ahead at what we have in store for you.
Digital Catapult Machine Intelligence Garage
Digital Catapult is the UK Government's Digital Agency, tasked with promoting advanced digital applications. The Machine Intelligence Garage is their flagship artificial intelligence program and selects top AI companies for the two month program. The program includes workshops, 1-1 consultations with the Digital Catapult Ethics Board and AI technology team, as well as facilitating investor meetings. The other businesses on the cohort range from advanced industrial application of AI to consumer and business products like Find Me Sales. The program also comes with $100k of Amazon Cloud Credits, and the chance to speak with the Amazon team - who give companies on the program the ‘white glove service’.
Real-time Companies House Database
The Leadsearch database launched a little over 6 months ago, and while everyone has enjoyed using it, we wanted to make it even more special. That’s why this month we launched our real-time connection with the Companies House database so you can be sure that you’re using the most up-to-date and relevant information for UK businesses that are your potential leads. If a company updates its information, get founded or shuts down, then it gets instantly updated in the Find Me Sales database. If you were to start a company today, and register it with Companies House, then you would see it in the Find Me Sales Leadsearch database the moment you received confirmation it had been founded. We’re glad to invite you to be one of the first to know about new UK companies!
Lead Page Upgrades
We spent the second half of August improving the lead pages. While you’ve always been able to add notes, and keep your progress updated in the Leadsboard on the Leads page, we wanted to give you more control. That’s why we’ve just added the ability to update your sales progress from the lead page. Also, many of you have asked for the ability to add new private information of your own into the lead, outside of the notes section. We’re happy to say that we now have a system in place that makes this happen, so you can add your own contact information, addresses and even employees to leads. We also rolled out Tags so you can organise your leads better. We hope you like all the improvements, and as always, if you have an idea then let us know and we’ll see if we can implement it for you.
Looking forward
We’re excited to bring you more features through September, starting with an overhaul of the Leads page - the home of all your leads. We are aiming to give you more visibility on the information found for each lead and better ability to filter all of them. This is becoming critical as some users have hundreds of leads and are asking us for more help managing them. Our Monitor feature, that helps you monitor Twitter for leads, is still in user testing and will likely remain there for a little while as we prioritise features that everyone is asking for now. Finally, we have been invited back to the next Cohort of one of the other accelerators that we’re on and we can’t wait to share the announcement with you in the next few weeks.
